Cardiff is a great place to learn new languages. As the capital of Wales, first choice is Welsh available through the Welsh Language Board (www.bwrddyriaith.org.uk). A number of schools and colleges offer English for all abilities, alongside social, cultural and sporting activities. Contact them direct for more information.
Celtic Language School
Celtic Language School is a British Council accredited English Language provider and has two schools in the centre of Cardiff. Both schools have a friendly atmosphere and can accommodate around 100 students each. Celtic combines studying in a UK capital city with learning English in high quality and friendly language schools. All classes are taught by qualified and experienced teachers. Students can choose from a variety of courses including, General English, Examination Preparation (Cambridge & IELTS) and One-to-one classes. With courses for all levels of English and small class sizes, students receive all the personal attention they need.
Albany Language School
A small, friendly school situated in central Cardiff. Offers adventurous social programmes including sailing, countryside and environmental interpretation, sports and great coastal and mountain trips.

Cardiff Centre for Lifelong Learning - Cardiff University
Cardiff Centre for Lifelong Learning co-ordinates, develops and promotes the University’s lifelong learning activities and offers a clear gateway into the University for those unfamiliar with what we can offer. The Centre provides around 700 Lifelong Learning Courses a year in almost 100 venues across South East Wales and includes languages such as French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese and Japanese.

Conveniently situated right in the heart of Cardiff City Centre. Accepts students throughout the year for a wide range of long or short English language courses. Classes are small with a maximum of 12 students in mixed nationality classes.
